Swapping 22RE TPS

Can you run a late model ('89-'95) TPS on an early model (pre-'89) 22RE? Specifically would a late model TPS work with an early model ECU? I know that the early and late model TPS use different resistance settings for adjustment.

I'm swapping a '90-'95 (late model) intake plenum and throttle body onto my '86 22RE. I'd like to run my late model TPS since my late model TPS is Denso (OEM Toyota) unit and has a good plug connector. My early model TPS is a Beck Arnley and the plug connector is broken.
