Well I'm still arguing with the insurance company about the value of the ST2, BUT... I just bought a "new to me" truck. Decided to break the trend, and bought something newer. Mainly because my friend sold it to me for a killer deal.
But anyhow, it's a 2000 Taco xtra-cab 4x4 5spd with the 3.4, and scored it for $6500. Has 31x10.5x15? mud meats, sliders, a front stinger we built at my friend's shop not too long ago, and a custom rear bumper that we're still building. Really mechanically sound, and I know all of this truck's history. Sorry no good pics yet, so these'll have to do till tomorrow:
But yeah, my plan is to buy the ST2 back, then either chop the cab, or go full buggy style with all tube cab with only the firewall still in existence from the original cab. Use the taco as a weekend DD (since I've got my work truck and all), and just build the ST2 into a pure trail rig.
How about "SwampTaco"?

Dude, not cool. Your predictions are usually right. Take it back, TAKE IT BACK! And naw, I'll still be around this forum since I'm gonna keep the ST2. The taco forum on here seems a little bland from what i've peeked so far, so most my taco questions go to pirate. But I doubt I'm gonna do much to this. Maybe lift it a little more to run 33s, regear and finish fabbing up the rear bumper. Really wanna keep it a DD, and all my crazy ideas confined to the now trail dedicated ST2.

hey ST, swap the 4wd grille back on, that 2wd front end is stinking up the appearance.
other than that, good luck dude. I got my 97 runner a few months back, and the 3.4 with a 5 speed and 32's is pretty darn capable. I got the e-locker too

good buy man. Killer deal too... I agree, lift it to fit some 33s and just DD it...from those little thumbnails, it just looks too clean to futz around with too much
unless you're gonna SAS it...
