So much Fabrication to mate ej25 and 6 speed or any Subaru combo in a yota it would be nearly impossible. Subaru's AWD trans and low centered boxer engine design would be totally incompatible with the frame, body, front axle, firewall etc etc of a Toyota truck. Diesel sounds cool though

Wow 11k for a crate motor!! Thats a bit much for me, but im sure someone is willing to pay it. I never had a problem with the tranny on my subaru, but I also never drove it that hard. I think this swap would be better suited for a truck that you wanted to race the "ricer's" with, I dont think it would be very suitable off road.

They make good power, but its way to late for my liking in a truck that I take off-road (unless you like to pre-run, that is a whole other story). I like the diesel option, veggie oil makes things more enticing. $11k? I'd get a small cummins before anything with the Chrysler logo on it. I know they stole it from benz, but still...
how about this cummins 3.9 L cummins, turboed and air-air after cooled 4 banger. 125 horsepower, but 373 foot pounds of torque at 1300 rpm!

I've heard that motor is unreliable.

they mentioned that in that article, that there were some problems with the motor before but they had fixed most them, but it's still not a cummins or an actual direct from the source mercedes.
