My 93 runner 3vze has a stupid freaking check engine light that pops on when cold. When it's on. I get literally 5mpg. Along with horrible power. And I'm 33s on. 4.88s so there shouldn't be any problem. Except I can't check it cause its only on and if I pull over and shut it off and turn it back on it goes away till I start driving and it gets above 3k rpms so I have no clue.

 

I bet it's stored in the computer. You need to search on how to start the diagnosis and read the codes. Then proceed from there.

The only time the codes get wiped out is when the battery is disconnected for more that a few minutes...

 

Anybody else??? Will come on when it's set for awhile too. I've reset the computer too.

 

Pull the codes and it will tell you what the fault is

 

Its either code 25 or 52
