Steering Wobble
In January I installed BJ spacers and then took my truck for the steering rod recall. The dealer did an alignment at that time. When I got the truck back it had a wobble in the steering wheel when going straight (its smooth when turning) that I attributed to the old and oddly worn tires. By wobble I mean the steering wheel rocks back and forth .5-.75 inches. I replaced the tires and the wobble stayed. I took the truck to another mechanic and they suggested tightening up the wheel bearings and replacing the lower ball joints. I did that and then had them realign the tires. The wobble is still there. Now the front tires are starting to cup on the outer edge.
Both alignments look to give the front tires slight positive camber, which I am questioning. Has anyone else run into this? The brakes don't pulse so I don't think its warped rotors.
