When I start the truck in the morning it fires and dies it will do this 3-4 times then fires and stays running.There is a 22 code showing also. Any ideas?

 

need a bit of info on the truck

code 22 is "open or short in intake air temp. sensor
circuit for 500 msec. or more."

by this I'm assuming it's fuel injected, and it may be a bad connection at the AFM or a damaged one

 

Well I just got done putting it back together from doing a timing set and head guasket. The plastic tips on the innjectors were all cracked and broke so I replace them with new ones.

 

Before I tore it down it ran fine and no codes
