hey guys need some input on my brake system i replaced the whole front such as rotors calipers pad i even cleaned out the dirty fluids
with new fluid i bled the whole system from rear to front until the new fluid was seeping out the bleeder screw and my pedals are sinking
to the floor can a leaking wheel cylinder or MC cause this problem?

Yes it can

Also a poor connection can allow air in but not leak fluid .

It can only be a little spec of dirt allowing air to be pulled in

Poor connection as to the brake lines thats will hop on the
Brake system and do a shake down test going to try new mc and rear cylinder also how do i adjust the brake shoes

What year truck do you have? 84-88 trucks use different wheel cylinders on the rear. Some use a short cylinder and some use a long cylinder. I made the mistake of putting a short cylinder when I should of used a long cylinder and lost rear brakes.


The picture below shows the difference in the housing. Top is longer housing and the bottom is a shorter housing. May not be able to see it in the picture to well but make sure you get the correct wheel cylinder. Trucks of the same generation do use different wheel cylinders. Pistons inside the housing are different length.
