Spark plug gap
I was just wondering what the spark plug gap was for my 1988 22R-E. I ordered the platinum NKG's and i will get them tommorow and install them tommorow along with some other goodies. Any help much appreciated. JvD
would it say in a haynes manual?

Yeah, chilton or haynes would have it.
It's .031".
But you're not supposed to adjust the gap on platinum plugs. Though I've done it on some that weren't correctly gapped when I pulled them out of the box. VERY CAREFULLY I might add, and they were the cheap type that were really just conventional plugs "plated" with platinum on the electrodes . The platinum pads on spendier platinum plugs can be chipped off or damaged or you can ruin the center electrode if it's the fine wire type very easily.
