your are right flash the bed one seems ugly like an 80s suzuki but the hard top one is the best looking!! did you see the other suv the prado it use the 4runner sport wheels!!
for me is a 4runner chassis and engine but with a different cabin and ends

i have owned 6 4runners 22r and v6
right now a 1993 4runner sr5 v6 with 5sp tranny few of them here in PR
man but is in excelent conds!
is making about 22mpg in mixed hway and city
bone stock!
check my mercury villager electric fan swap!!

if im not wrong those lc came with some parts in aluminum
am i right?
or myabe the steel toyota used was a superior quality from todays is very rare to see one of those lc with body deterioration taking in count the year they were made
