Sold the '93 Pickup
Well the '93 Pickup in my sig is officially sold as of today. My uncle, who I posted about several monthes ago concerning what truck I think he should get next who has a '95 that is exactly the same model/colour/engine/cab/deluxe package as mine bought it off of me. He said he wanted to get another truck to move on and give his '95 to his son, and he said he just couldn't see himself in another truck but a truck like the one he has, so after a while of hounding me, coupled with the fact I have a child on the way in less than a month, got me to sell it to him.
I guess I have mixed emotions - the few of you who saw it know how well taken care of it was and how good of shape it was. But I now need something with 4 doors and some rear seating space for obvious reasons. The only 3 things I know is the next vehicle I buy will be a Toyota (obviously), have 4 full doors, and be body on frame. I'm leaning towards a 2001 to 2004 Tacoma Double Cab. May consider a 3rd gen 4runner. I guess I have lots of chance as right now I'm driving my brothers 96 4runner for a while (5 speed/3.4) until he gets his license back ( had a seizure a few monthes ago - doesn't get his license back until they do some tests). When my bro gets his license back we'll just own a Toyota Yaris for now and that's when I'll start looking. One thing is for certain - there are lots of 3rd gen 4runners out there for reasonable prices used obviously. But 2001-2004 Double CAb 4x4 TAcoma's are few and far between and they are much pricier. Anyways, I got nothing but good things to say about my (former) truck, no problems with the 3vze in the time I owned it, and it did it's job and then some.
I am making damn sure my uncle continues to run Amsoil fluids. I am supplying him with all the fluids he can handle for this truck as he gave me some good $$$ for it.

Anyways, While I do have several monthes to decide, I still go back and forth in my mind on what to buy. I've leaned towards the '01 to '04 Double Cab Taco's for a while now but they are hard to find, and pricey when they do come up. For the price of one of those '01 to '04 Double Cab Tacoma's, I could buy a used 96 to 02 4runner and slap a Supercharger on it and I'd still probably have $$$ left over. For some reason those '01 to '04 Double cabs have insane resale value.

Yeah, I just saw the red for 12.5k Guy is on crack, that truck new was only worth a few more grand..... he bought it, he should know!!!
I would get into a 4runner with an e-locker, supercharge it and have some fun!
Then you can haul the woman and the kid while you're hauling arese
