Soft 8/D windows on 2nd gen 4runner

Is everyone who runs the unique/cragar/American racing "soft 8" or "d window" styles using wheel spacers to clear the brake caliper?

i thought they mounted up straight, but the few tire shops i called said they dont...and i searched but didn't find anything related to these specific wheels.

thanks.

As long as you get a wheel with the proper backspacing (4.5" to 3.5") you wont have to use wheel spacers...

those D ring style wheels/ rockcrawler rims are the most popular rim out there... many people run them. I run the older style "wagon wheel" on my truck.

Thanks for confirming. I've seen a ton of pictures of 2nd gen trucks with these wheels, but the tire store and a couple of the manufacturers said that they wouldn't fit! I wasn't sure that I was gettin the lazy answer from everyone.

thanks for replying to another wheel spacer/backspacing/caliper fitment thread.
