Looks good. I took the doors off my 80 Pickup and love it. I dont know whether the looks are because of the chrome silver spray can paint, lack of doors, or lack of windshield, but I love it.

Jeep mirrors arent on the doors =)
I don't know about the new jeeps but my buddy's old YJ had them on the doors - he got a ticket, so he bought some aftermarket ones for the A-pillars. I've seen them on a bunch of jeep websites. I think no doors/tube doors would be a blast.

YJs, TJs and TKs (think that's the new one) have the mirrors on the doors.
Only the CJ had them on the windsheild frame factory.
Of course you can get aftermarket mirrors to mount your mirrors there, I personally don't like the look.

Get a motorcycle mirror and use that, works great.

i've always liked the looks of the older 4runners with the doors off, and have a question. i have a 1991 2door 4runner with electric locks and windows. I was wondering what your opinions where about taking the doors off and if so how hard would it be to unhook everything?

Guys and Gals, I need help taking the interior panel of my 4runner's passenger door off (I hit "an obstacle" last week and a section of the door's outside wall caved in). I've taken a few screws off but no luck. Has anyone done this?
Thanks
Andres in Austin

you have to cut all the wires and wire in a plug. someone already mentioned the contact-type plug as an alternative to a plug-in type
