my eyes started weeping with sympathy reading some of the replies.
yeah... 3200 for a lift, wheels and tires is WAY TOO MUCH.
got my lift (4" procomp stage 2) for 400 off craiglslist. paid 1000 to discount tire for the 16" rims and tires. replaced the lift blocks from the lift kit with lift springs for 250.
so 1650 for my lift, rims and tires. (oh, and 180 for a lifetime alignment policy)

damnnnn. no one around here has been willing to give me that good of a deal. one place i called told me 3K for the lift without the tires and wheels and said i should jump on the $3200 deal. another place said they could try to come close but made no garuntees....

at worse- if you are mechanically inclined, like you can do your own brakes type of inclined.... you can install a lift kit yourself.
you might need someone else to do an alignment, but you should be able to install the kit... that can save you 1000 right there.

DeAndre- I bought my lift for my 4runner from a wrecking yard in rancho cordova for $380 out the door, then i bout 4 brand new interco trxus for $600 and then rims.
rancho toyota truck- they are a member here, search for them
so i probably paid close to 1200 for everything.
I ended up installing my lift in my driveway with basic hand tools in a weekend with help from my friend.

well , i live in an appartment building to working on anything aside from an oil change on my motorcycle would be a little difficult, but i might be able to find some one willing to take a couple of days to help me get this done.
on another note i truly do hate myself for not looking into different areas on craigslist because i just saw some stuff that would have been perfect.... like this http://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/880195024.html
the paint is pretty clean which i really dont care about but it looks like its been taken care of and im sure i could talk him down some

yea but if you got a yota with almost rebuilt everything for 3300 then you did fine. Plus with how people are saying you can do a lift yourself for a little more then a grand then youll have a lifted yota and all for around 4300 give or take. Also by doing alot of the mods yourself you at least know that they are done right.
