So Depressing

I sold my 88 4runner for 3000 bucks today, as it drove away I almost cried
I put so much love and care into it, 3000 bucks didn't seem to do it justice even though it was probably only worth realistically around 2 grand tops.
Does anybody have a 2nd gen pickup or 3rd gen taco for sale, need a 5 spd and either a 3.4 liter or 22re engine, no more 3.0 unless its a 5 spd.

I miss my runner

LOL, yea I know 1stgen4gunner doesn't work anymore. I sold because I needed a pickup to haul my dirt bikes and because being a carpenter/laborer, I needed something that I felt I could abuse, the SR5 interior was too nice to scratch.

I was worried I was going to feel your pain so I totally chickened out. All the calls coming in are being told I changed my mind...

My SR5 interior is the fancy red as you can see, so I've decided to keep her for a very long time now. Next up is to replace all the carpet in her with this stuff, http://www.rubbercal.com/Coin_Grip.html, get some seat covers, and roll on. I feel for you though, I let go of an 85 truck, a 89 truck, 85 4Runner, 99 Taco, 94 4Runner. the 89 just about killed me.

I feel your pain. I sold a really tough IH in 77 model Scout II diesel a few years ago and almost chased the guy down as he drove off the driveway. Then I got a Toy. Look at it like this, now you can look for and buy your next rig......... and it'll be better than the one you sold. That and the person that bought it is now a converted Toyota lover, one more person to post up on Yotatech with newb questions that we can teach about the glory that is Toyota.

For your pain/pleasure here is a picture of my old Land Shark.

and right before I sold her.

It was my first truck so it had a spacial place in my heart. Still does. Anyways good luck on yer truck hunt.

That Scout had the factory SD33NA Chrysler Nissan diesel in it, T-19 close ratio 4 speed and a swapped in Dana 300 t-case. With the 4.88:1 spools front and rear and ram assist steering she was tough.

doesn't exist haha

the 22RE ended production along with the Pickup nameplate in 1995. For the 1995.5 model year, the Tacoma was introduced with the 3RZFE (2.7L) for 4wd trucks and the 2RZFE (2.4L) for 2wd trucks. All V6 Tacoma's were equipped with the famous 5VZFE (3.4L).
