I have a 86 4Runner with an auto tranny and a 22re. The truck seems to run fine but right at 40mph it shifts but it seems like it is shifting too early. If you do not add throttle the truck will shutter really bad. Any ideas?

 

sounds like maybe the kick down cable may need adjusted or try taking somewhere for a tranny. flush. if them dont work it may need a new trans.
