Good job, I do like how she came out!!! I'll probable do something like that as well but I'll probably do the door and quarters also. Not the whole thing about 12" of it though.
Love the pizza box wheel cover!

hey c'mon man...i ust figured out how to post pics and i wa confusing the hel outta myself looking at close-ups of black truck / black truck, on and on.

no it was over all 4 wheels.........3 out of 4 are fixed.....passenger's front may actually need a new fender.......but besides that, i was surpised that for the most part it was surface and very little rot-through.

the frme etc...looks vey good. remember we only bought this in april of this year....friggin' trashed interior......but i don't want to hijack this thread posting pics of mine......so anyway hope the end result is what you are looking for Boostin'.......i was satisfied with just enamel over the bodywork, but because of the black, you could see imperfections you couldn't feel...so it felt perfect but it wasn't, that's wh we went with the duplcolor stuff.

PSthis keyboard blows...sometimes doesn't type what i'm typing, so makes me look like i can't spell....i can cuz i is a college gradgit.

Not sure what the name/brand of the stuff is. Just saw it referred to as "resin jelly" in another rust fix thread. So, I will go to Wally World and check out what they have.

92_TOY, what was your shopping list? My guess is:
Sand Paper (What grits?)
Bondo
Fiberglass
Duplicolor Bed Liner Spray
Primer

P.S. You are not post whoring in my thread. I am a picture person so the more pictures of what you started with, the process, and how it looks now the better. Gives me a better idea on how to tackle this since most of my rust is at the rear quarter panel and rockers where there are a lot of curves and lines.

Just a thought, maybe go for the roll on Duplicolor. May go a bit further.

ADVICE..........take your tape off as soon as you are done spraying.....stuff solidifies fast and you will end up peeling up an edge if you wait too long.
yeah...on my truck i followed the body line all the way don (looks like hell...it was the spray on bedliner that i didn't cover with enamel) but on the 4runner, the door panels are PERFECT and i didn't want to ruin them.

nooks and crannies are too hard to do with a roller....i recommend spray on. buy a few cans......once you walk away from a can it'll start sprayind crazy and spitting drops that make a mess.

I have such a hard time with body work, always did. Mechanical I do alright with, I may not have the patience for it, well I know I don't. As long as I can get it close I'll be happy. I want to see pics of Boots when hers is done.
