Shock length question.

A set of shocks went on sale and although the 4runner has no lift kit installed the rear has been leveled out- waiting for a response to below but wondered what the experiance is. 0-2 inch version is x3 the cost of the regular version. There is no mileage on the springs so I don't think they have settled yet.

1990 Toyota 4runner SR5 2.4L

The rear of these trucks always sag even with new Moog HD coil replacement. I ended up using EMU's lighter duty rear coil spring which leveled out the truck nicely, otherwise it's all stock suspension no lift intended. There is the 0-2in rated lift shock which is substatially more expensive......which shock would you recommend. Truck will be used mild of road, but mostly for turbocharged street highway. See attachments. Currently has KYB GasAdjusts stock replacment that I used in a pinch- but I don't expect them to last long.

Bilstein 4600s have been great for 2 of my 3 Toyota 4x4s that I've put them on, though I can't say with any certainty that they're any better than the numerous cheaper damper options.

In both cases, I replaced dampers that I didn't know the condition of (some blue ones that perhaps were the OEM originals to my '94 pickup? And a set of KYB Excel G's that the p/o put on my '87 4Runner) that were old, yet didn't feel blown when driven on prior to removal or when compressing by hand once removed.

Can't say I felt a difference after equipping them. Basically just did it to check them off the list as I made some tweaks to try to make the ride not as crappy.
