Shock extenders needed???

Hello guys, I am planing on install a 3 inch ball joint spacer on my 91 pickup truck IFS, and since I have factory schoks I am wondering if I would need schock extenders. Please let me know. Thanks.

Really you should get new shocks to fit that lift. 3" spacers really may throw the front end off, I think two is the practical limit. If you just need a little lift you can crank the bars some, unless you loaded up the front, then you need 23 / 24 mm bars. Also beware the rear suspension will need work too.

Just be sure to do you research on what you plan and what your goals are.

Ok, it would be a should like ok you can run them and eventually your shocks will pop or a should like you must get them?

It would be a "should" like "Just be sure to do you research on what you plan and what your goals are". If you are just going to install the tallest ball joint spacers you can get you can expect to have a lot of parts failing in the future like CV axles, ball joints, tire wear etc. Your truck will also ride like a jack hammer if you are just looking to get a bunch of lift with spacers and torsion bar adjustment. If you want a lifted truck with huge tires do a proper lift. If you want a little more room for a little bigger tire don't go overboard.
