from what ive herd, it helps with alot of shifting problems, for what it costs. Its worth doing imo.

It won't fix long throws. You need a short shifter kit for that. (LCE makes one I think).

It will however firm up your shifts so they are not as sloppy. Put the shifter in 1st, can you move the shifter side to side much? Thats what will be fixed.

Also if you have lost a gear or two

alright so i just did mine, 3 parts came out.. two went in.
werid, my tranny you didnt have to push down and twist or anything. Just unbolted the 4 bolts and it slids out! So, the end cap was pretty werid, it had a some type of cut angle on hte top part.. Replaced that with new one. Then for the seat, there was this werid tube piece that sat onto of what was left for the seat. So i removed that then took out the peice left from the old seat, put the new one in and the tube piece wouldnt go back in, so i left it.. put everything back and wow. what a difference, it goes into reverse like nothing! and there is hardly any play!!

so worth the 25$

its a 87 22re/5spd

I see you've already got the part, but I'd like to point out that, the G-58 (5spd on 22RE w/ shift-on-the-fly 4wd) transmission shares the same seat bushing as the R150 (5spd on the V6). I would bet all the truck trannies use the same bushing. Get the service department to pull up the diagram for the V6 transmission (R150) and order that part.

My bushing looked brand new when I took it out, so I returned the bushing i bought. I could have returned the old one an no one would have ever noticed because the looked identical.

Actually, ALL G series, W series, and R series use the same bushing, car or truck. (With the exception of the W56 I believe)

I use the Marlin crawler bushings in my W58, and in my R154.

Why the parts diagram doesn't show it beats the hell out of me.

Yeah, it's weird. Some diagrams show the part, others don't.

Don't mean to hijack this but since the thread is already started ill ask here. so i got my truck about a week ago, i don't really have problems finding gears but i do have a problem getting them to actually click in.. like when i go to shift into first from a stop ill get it there but gotta fight it to go into gear. and yes my clutch is to the floor. so will buying the marlin parts help me...well obviously it wont hurt but will it solve my problem?

ok so here is whats up. if i roll up to a stop light and put it in neutral and let out the clutch then when i push the clutch back in and try to go into gear(any gear) it doesn't wanna click in. but once i get it to go into gear i can move the shifter between any of the gears freely like it should move.
