Truck has been sitting for sometime now needing a new clutch. I want to get it back running in the next couple of weeks.

Who makes the stock clutch? Aisin?
Any recommendations.

Also ripped one of the shifter boots and having a hard time locating one. Part # on boot is 58288-35040 circled in red on picture.

 

yes aisin makes the oem clutch. make sure you get the bearings too. you can get all the oem components and a clutch kit from marlin, reasonably priced.

try this link clicky theres a shift boot that says for truck / runners for 84 but its not the same p/n as the one you posted.

 

Thanks keycw. Have been looking at the Marlin Crawler clutch kit for the 3vze but out of stock right now, might have to go with one of the Aisin's on rockauto if they dont get them in stock soon..

Not sure what to do about that boot yet, I come up empty when I search google with the part number listed on the boot. Thanks for the link though.

It is not correct one for my 1988 4runner with w56, but might be correct for yours.

 

So close, just a tad larger than mine. Inside boot looks different. Might work though. Thanks for the link.
