Security Cover for back area of 1st Gen
Does anyone have any good ideas for a cover for the back area of a 1st Gen 4Runner, or perhaps know of any vendors that carry an item? I saw a Wolf Cover on the YotaTech Gear Review, but Corey said it was a dated picture, as in, a long-ass time ago.
If any of you 1st Gen owners (past or present) have pics of your ideas, or covers you found, I would love to see them.

I just had a redneck light bulb,do you know the window shades that are self rolling? As in you pull them down enough and you feel them click.Get one of those(they are normally white) paint it to match and mount it where the roll is toward the front of the vehicle, and pulls toward the rear.Make a munt to hold the end and vola

^^^ They already make bed covers like that... my uncle has one on his silverado... I forget who it's by, but it's made from canvas or something and rolls up and has velcro down the sides to keep it water tight...

another option is to get a cargo box and fasten it to the bed via the nut-backed bolt holes http://picasaweb.google.com/bkgpub/4...AreaRenovation
doesnt have the full cargo area covered, but it is very secure. i could have used a bigger box, but this has been sufficient for my needs so far.

Something else I thought of would be to take diamond plating, cut it into 3 pieces that run across the cargo area, and hinge the pieces. Basically like the system you see on a few aftermarket covers. You could actually make it strong enough to sit or stand on, and you'd be able to lock it. You could do black(hot as hell) or regular chrome plating. It would be a PITA to work around the roll bars but, the rest would be fairly straight forward. I think you could make some rails with some sort of foam to cut down on noise from metal to metal contact.
Maybe I'm the only one that can picture this in my head, but it would be similiar to what you see on the Chevy Avalanche.
