Seatbelts

My factory seat belts in my '85 pickup have gotten very lazy. Will '89-95 seat belts bolt right in? Or have people gone to universal setups? Ive seen some aftermarket ones that look era appropriate but curious how they fit and look installed. I'd like to keep the truck as factory as possible, but safety is important as the truck is daily driven.

what have you guys used to replace your 25-30yr old tired seat belts?

My '89 4Runner is 1st generation so the body is roughly like your '85. All I can tell you is I bought shoulder belts from a '92 Pickup and they bolted right in to the rear floor and roll bar. It's worth a try. Sell them on eBay if they don't fit.

I vaguely recall wondering why non of the metric thread pitch gauges worked on the seat belt bolt, until took a wild guess that it was an SAE bolt and thus.. after market replacement seat belts might work....
