My recently acquired 1992 4x4 extra cab with a 60/40 bench has the beginning of the floppy driver seatbelt buckle. This part also has the center belt receiver.
I hate having to use 2 hands to buckle up. I just want to jam it in there lol. For now mine is still a one-hander but is getting weak.
I’ve had this issue in the past with driver-level trucks and I can remember making some kind of janky exo-skeleton that kind of worked. This truck is nice and I’d like to come up with a good solution.
Finding a nos part I’m sure is impossible. My dealer parts guy was nice enough to provide the part numbers. My interior is grey.
What have folks done to solve this issue? Maybe there is a later part number that is still avail and works? I wouldn’t care if it didn’t have the center belt or if it had the “belt is buckled” switch.
Adding complexity the receiver has a twist in it so the buckle is positioned correctly.
