i just got a head off a buddy (mine was cracked) and was about to put it on when i saw this rust on the valve. Is there something i can spray in there to get ride of the rust or do i have to replace it. Thanks,

it is a real pain to send it to a shop in the town i'm in. It has to get shipped 450 km away, which i have to pay for, and the prices are super expensive. no one in the area does the job. SO, am i a total idiot if i risk it and put it on as is.

think of it this way.. if you put it on and it doesnt work or you screw somethin up, you have to do all the work to pull it off again and still send it in.. plus the cost of gaskets.
imo you shouldnt get hasty, just send it in while its off the truck and you wont have to worry about it.
