rusted fuel filter

i have a 1988 4runner and the fuel filter is rusted on there and it is so backed up my truck wont start i got the lines lose but it is stuck up there any ideas ?

You got both lines disconnected? That's the hardest part, is this a 4 cyl or 6?

it should be bolted to the frame

Depends on whether it is a 4 or 6 cylinder....

Yeah, I just did mine and the hardlines in and out were the trouble...

There are two bolts (one on top, one on bottom) that hold the mount to the frame, then another small one (10mm) that clamps the two sides of the holder around the fuel filter.
