Rough start with brief "check engine" light
Hi guys,
My first post here, any help is appreciated. I have a 1990 Toyota pickup, 22RE with 252614 miles on her. The speedometer/odometer quit about 200-300 miles ago, but thats another thread. (I think I know what's wrong, just don't know if I want to climb under there, although it would be nice to know the mileage for my trip, *read ahead*). I took her down to Cabo San Lucas last year from San Diego and she did extremely well. The whole trip was 2100 miles with the "check engine" light on. I had a clogged vacuum hose. That is fixed now. I'm planning another trip down to Cabo this year. So my concern is when I start her in the morning or afternoon after sitting for couple of hours she gives me a sort of "straved" gasp with a breif "check engine" light but then fires right up. There's also a little "click" I hear right before the "check engine" light goes away. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance
