Replacing worn out leaf springs

I have the typical saggy butt on my 86 4runner. I have found for some reason finding replacement parts for my 4 runner than my 77 bronco. I don't want to lift it, just want to find some replacement leaf springs. Where is a good place to shop for them? Any suggestions on brands. It may see a little offroading in the future, but it is my DD for now. Thanks for the help.

This won't really answer your question but I just ordered a set of these and will be mounting them in the next couple of weeks. I'm doing it on a truck to gain 2" of lift and a little better ride as well as hauling capacity. Might be something for you to think about.

depends on how much you want to spend. do some research on the available leafs in the stock-ish height and you might find something up your alley. i went the more expensive route and got myself some OME Dakar leafs - which i love - and they give you about 2" more height and more hauling cap. i could have just as easily gone to the nearest junk yard and picked up some used ones, but those would prolly sag.

i got my OMEs from trdparts4u and the truck was my DD at the time, so I installed them on the weekend by myself and it only took 2hrs having never done anything like that before.

i think there needs to be a sticky on solutions to toyota butt sag. so many threads on this topic as well as that top gear video.

If you're just looking to replace the springs, try DirToyBoy. He's a member here and sells used Toyota parts out of a Toyota truck junkyard in St. Louis.

I just put a set of these on my 86. Rear sits back up where it belongs and the ride is better, especially over washboard roads. I also put in poly bushings. Bought the bushing kit from Autozone.
