Replacement RWD parking brake cables?
Hey all,
I recently finished a bunch of work on my 1986 Pickup, RWD, and before I took her back on the road I wanted to get the parking brake working. I replaced the front cable, the whole sub-assembly lever and I bought what I THOUGHT was a good set of replacement cables from Raybestos. Turns out, they aren't the right ones, and Toyota discontinued them.
Do I just have to write the new parts off as a loss, and go without a parking brake? Its a 4 speed manual, so I've been wheel chocking it for the last two years but I figured I would get it all fixed up since I just rebuilt the engine.
Any advice?
Thanks
Karl
