Replace leaf spring eye bushing?

Replace leaf spring eye bushing?
Has anyone replace the OEM leaf spring front eye bushing on an 84-88 2WD Toyota Truck? Mine are deteriorated and I have a set of Poly bushings to install. I installed poly bushings onto the shackle no problem as they were not pressed in like the eye bushing.
If so, what method did you use and how difficult was it to remove them? I am planning to use a ball joint press and some custom cut round bar plugs to press on the bushing outer metal casing. I think that will work.
Thanks

The poly bushings I used on the spring eyes did not require the use of any outer shell.
It was sure a pain to get the old rusted rubber and shells out though. I used an air chisel with an exhaust pipe cutting bit after drilling most of the rubber out.
Pressing new ones in should'nt be too much hassle, if the inside of the spring eyes are clean and lubed a bit.

These poly don't use any shell either. Thanks for the reply. I have an air chisel and a sawzall ti cut through the shell at the eye loop open end if need be. I'm not concerned with installing the new bushings. They are in halves and I have the ploy lube. I will clean the inner eye surfaces very well.
