Removing intake manifold
Will it be possible to remove the intake manifold as one big unit or will I have to strip it down?
The HG blew out on me Saturday morning and I have to remove the head.
Will the crank pulley have to come off to remove the timing chain?

If you can unplug the wires that run through and around the lower part of the intake, then yes you can. Yes the crank pulley (Harmonic Balancer) has to be removed to get to the timming chain.

Finally spent some quality time in the garage today and it was too difficult for me to remove the the intake manifold in one piece. I got the top part removed and most of the vacuum lines still attached or at least labelled. Those things run everywhere on a 94-95 model.
I think I still have one bolt hold the lower part to the head, and I can't GET IT! GRRR!!!
Do you guys think it is worth have the fuel injectors sent out to be cleaned/flow matched since they are coming out anyways? What else should I replace while I am in there? The short block is relatively new....20K to 30K miles on it, so I don't need main seals or anything like that. Any maintenance you guys recommend?
I'm not too concerned about cross mating any electrical connectors, those are all pretty straight forward, especially if you lay in the wiring harness in it's original location correctly. However, all the those vacuum tubes are daunting. I've tried to mark an label as many as possible.

I just found a thread where someone pointed out the 8mm allen head bolt at the thermostat housing that has to be removed. It's easily missed if the fuel rail is still on. I just ran out and undid the bolt and the manifold separated easily from the head.
