Relocating side mirrors

Relocating side mirrors
I’ve always wanted vent windows for my truck because installing ac seems like a PITA and it’s hot here in Hawaii. I picked some up off marketplace a while back with all the hardware and weatherstripping but when I was checking it out it seems that I’d have to get different side mirrors - da kine that bolts under the window as opposed to what is on the truck now which is the plastic kine that is “forward” of the window. My parts truck has the side mirrors that bolts on under the window (which is good) but the door it’s to go on doesn’t have the threaded reinforcement on the inside of the sheet metal. Before I start drilling holes, I was wondering if anyone has done this before and can offer up some insight. I saw the video on YouTube of the guy converting on his 2nd gen and also searched but came up with nothing..
I’ll post some pics bumbye

Simple to install mirrors it is a pain working on Doors because my Big Hands.
I figure out Where I want the mirrors ( at times moving left /right/up/ down makes it easier) then use bolts with fender washers on the inside for more bearing surface with lock nuts on the outside .
I like putting the Bigger type Mirrors on all my 4x4`s I upgraded many Trucks to larger Mirrors for pulling trailers
