Releasing rear seats

The straps on the latches that allow you to lift the bottom cushions on my 89 4Runner have ripped off. I’ve tried poking around and seeing if I can get the releases to pop but so far have been unsuccessful. Anyone run into this before?

Can you unbolt the hinges at the front and lift the seat enough to snake in and trip the release?

Tried that but either didn't get the latch just right or they are really stuck. Going to try and squirt some WD40 in there and see if that loosen anything up.

I have check driven a pair wherein one cushion will pull up without difficulty while you pull the tab and one may not. I actually have the little fabric tabs/loops out on both aspects but they may not elevate.

Got em open. Unbolted and lifted the front and found just the right spot to push on the latch.
