Refinish Steering Wheel?

Refinish Steering Wheel?
So my three spoke wrapped SR5 steering wheel is looking kind of rough. The top of the wheel has been beaten bad by the sun and the fabric is starting to wear through. Anybody know if or how these can be refinished? Don't want to go with an aftermarket wrap.

What year is the steering wheel out of? Can we get a pic of it?
I've never seen a steering wheel get "refinished," but I do know the aftermarket wraps work well, although, it sounds as if you don't want to go that direction.

It's out of a 91 SR5 pickup but I think they're standard in the SR5 pickups and runners from 90-95. Like this one but Grey.
I'm kinda looking for the original factory look & feel. Been trying to get a used one locally but after 2 months of looking still no luck

I have a steering wheel that's been hanging on a nail in my storage for almost 20 years! My 4Runner was bought new in November of 91 and the steering wheel was replaced within 2 months AND it's gray! The only flaw is an indentation from the nail it's been hanging on! If you're interested in buying it let me know and we can talk price. I'm in Honolulu though so shipping may be steep.

I've used "Wheelskins" a couple times. They're nice leather, fit and feel great.

They're probably as close as you can get to actually refinishing the wheel.

These are definitely as close as you can get to a few fit and feel.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess for now I'll keep looking and do some research on the wheelskins.
Thanks for the offer Kaimuki4Runner. I'll send you a PM if I don't find a replacement soon

I'll add something about wheelskins!! my dads used them on every truck he's had while i was growin up. they last forever and if they ever start to fade he just emails them and they send him a new one free of charge. Great company, i have no problem saying this for them, they have helped us out plenty of times and they deserve it!
they only downside is that installation takes alittle while, and you bassicly have to stitch it on there, but the end result is great.
and no. i dont work for them
