Rear window Down wire

Im installing my alarm and was hoping to make one of the spare buttons lower the rear window. Normally I would tap into the switch on the console, but that only gets power when the ignition is on. So im wondering where do I find the wire and what colour is it that goes from the rear lock solenoid.

just pop the rear hatch panel off and tie into the key switch in the hatch itself. Run your wires from there up to where you need them.

window down wire

Hey Kiff I just did this with my remote start and doorlock kit. I tied in where the rocker switch is on the consol between the seats. However I found that the trigger wire for the rear window down is a negitave not positive. Therefore I had to wire in a cheap automotive relay. Works great I'm glad I did it.
What year is your vehicle?

back window

Yeah it's damn handy. My truck has to be running first and I wanted it that way anyhow because I don't want to accidently push the button and have the window down and not know about it. So I just remote start first...then hold the accessory button for 7 seconds and the window is down when I get there so I can put my grocerys right in. People say 'why do you use the remote start all the time?" and I tell them that every time I do use it ...it's one less time my ignition switch gets used for cranking the engine...the remote start relay is like 5 bucks and a keyswitch is way more. Saves the keyswitch in the long run.
