rear diff replacement - questions!

Hi All, I've had great luck with this forum in the past with great advice and help, so I'm here again looking for more advice!
I'm in the midst of replacing my rear differential on an '89 pickup, 4x4, 22re motor. So far things are going pretty well... However, being a total bumbly, I'm wondering what I should be looking for/replacing while I have the back end taken apart. What should I be replacing as I go? I'm just swapping out the pumpkin but it would be nice to do some preventative stuff while I'm under there. Also, the truck sits a little low in the back, what is the best course of action to lift it a hair? New spring etc.? It's a work truck, plus firewood getter and family transporter on old mining roads, nothing fancy so I'm not looking to make it into a mega lifted rig, just something nice looking that works well!
Thanks for your patience and help!!

Fresh axle seals mean not doing them in near future, they ALL fail eventualy, and they be cheap. A small lift block, or add-a-leaf, and/or a slight torsion bar height adjustment, to even the front if nes., is cheap an' easy. Looks nice, too.
