Random hanging wire by oil filter

1989 4Runner dlx, 22re,manual. New owner here and just did my first oil change. Noticed a single hanging wire that looks freshly knocked off. I'm assuming I did it when removed oil filter. New check engine light. Thanks for any insight!

Up and left of the oil filter. It is in the center of the photo I attached. Behind the banjo bolt for the fuel filter. It normally has a connector attached which clips onto the knock sensor.
