Rancho Steering Stabilizer

I've got a 1994 4Runner and I'm in the process of getting new shocks and steering stabilizer, but I've run into a problem. At this link, http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch, it says these will work with up to a '93. I have a '94, but are they actually different up there, or would one of these work? Any help, or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

If link doesn't work P/N's at www.summitracing.com are

RAN-RS5402

OR

RAN-RS97273

I checked about 5 different sites that had the rancho stabilizers... they ALL said Steering Stabilizer for Toyota 4 Runner 4wd/2wd 86-93 - Couldnt find even one that specifically said for a 4 Runner any newer. So looks like you are out of luck on this one ..

93 & 94 are the same in pickups. Don't know on the Runner, but I didn't think they moved to the next gen until '95

BTW: I have this stabilizer, have had for 10 years. Works great and has lasted very well.

Ack!

Well, I ordered the Rancho Kit for the '93 (my truck is a '94) and somthing silly happened. The hardlines for the tranny cooling lines are in the way.

This kit doesn't bolt in the same place as the stock one, rather it goes parallel to the relay rod, (i think?), and bolts to the relay rod with u-bolts and some nuts on the drivers side. On the passenger side, there is a bracket that goes on the inside of the frame rail, using the holes where the idler arm attatches to the frame. My g/f has my camera or i would take a picture.

Basically, i can get it on there, but since it moves whenever i turn, the hardlines are being moved with it. And i'm pretty sure that's not a good thing.

Any suggestions? Send it back?

Thanks.

Thing is, this is the only kit i could find at summit, or according to others, anywhere. I will do some more searching, but maybe a different brand is in order? One that bolts directly into the stock holes?

Thanks for the reply.

i put the OME steering stabilizer on a few weeks ago and i'm really happy with it.
its probably a little more expensive than the rancho, but i'd say its worth it. try trdparts4u.com
