radio installation

Im trying to install a radio on my 87 yota but need to know how to remove the plastic pannels covering the existing radio. i tried taking some screws out but there is still something holding it. is there any step by step guides for my style dash. thanks...

Hey,
You also have to remove the two screws that hold the ash tray assy. in place. They are inside a little and are upside down as you look into the ash tray holder. You then have to pop off the heater control knobs and then take off the panel finish plate. This just snaps in. You pull it off from the left side first (by where the clock is/should be) and pull it a little to the left and then pop it off. The whole stereo bezel is on with just a couple of screws and retaining clips. It is easy and takes just a minute.
