Radiator Fix Thoughts

Just curious if others have tried this-

Is it a good idea to fix a small hole in a radiator with JB Weld?

I don't know that it would work since a radiator tends to expand and contract alot.

Thoughts?

I tried it on my previous vehicle, I had a small pin hole near the filler neck. It worked for a month or 2 but then started leaking again. After trying it a few more times I just replaced the rad. You may have more success, and JB Weld is cheap enough to try. I just don't think it will work for a permanent fix.

^ what he said. i tried this on my wife's MPV and it slowed the leak but didn't stop it entirely. at least it helped to limp it along until I could afford to replace the radiator.

if you decide to try this, keep a gallon of coolant/water in your truck just in case.
