Question on transmission

I have a 92 4 runner 4x4 where is my starter located? Is it on the tranny or do I not need to take that out ?

I am guessing you have the 3.0. If you are wanting to pull the tranny, yes you will need to pull the starter. I don't know the 3.0 but it is most likely on the passenger side.
