a question to all running 33 x 12.5
okay so im running cruiser coils bj spacers with a slight torsion lift like most of the people on the board but im just about to step up from 10.5 wide to 12.5 what is everyone running for backspacing? im pretty sure the stock aluminum rims with 3.75 wont work. 4.75? thanks in advance.

the stock wheels are 4.75. You may be okay with them, though i would be careful with a narrow 15x7 rim. Im running 15x8s with 3.75 BS and mine rub during full lock and compressions situations.

hmm stock 94 4 spoke aluminum rims are 4.75? guess i have had the wrong info then. i knew the narrow factorys would be iffy anyways. not too worried about a little rub at full lock or stuff situations but less would be better.
forgot to mention its on my 2nd gen 94 4 runner

Most shops won't mount a 12.50 on a 7 inch rim, it's a real difficult fit. I've seen it done, but you can definitely tell the tires squished on there. Why do you want to go up to a 12.50 anyway? I really like the 10.50s on mine. It looked kinda tall and skinny to me with the stock alloys, but I switched them over to some 15x8s and it looks a lot better in my opinion.
