Question on airbox mod for 3.0...

i looked up the thread that goes through how to do the mod by basically drilling or cutting holes in the airbox but im not sure whether to drill the bottom or top of the airbox. that is, does the air flow through the airbox toward the hood or toward the ground?

thanks.

If you think 'backwards' for a moment, you want all of your air to go to the filter first. So... any holes you drill in the airbox have to make the air go through the filter before it goes anywhere else.

Yeah, I understand that part. I just wasnt sure which side to drill holes in.

i think it the bottom and that the air flows up towards the hood on its way to the engine and filter.

Haven't done the mod myself YET.... but the air has to flow into the motor, just follow the intake hose to the filter and drill on the other side.....
