Question about W56 Transmission
I have an 88 W56 dismantled right now, one thing I just ran across puzzles me. The synchronizer shifter keys have a snap ring looking spring to hold them in place. But looking thru my FSM, this setup looks more like what is installed in the R151-G58 series transmissions.
Did Toyota mix and match or is this a normal setup? Or more directly which shift key spring setup does the W56 normally have installed?
Thanks for the input. sheesh you would think it was all simple. regards
Glenn
