I was given a set of SAW T-Bars for a Christmas present and I haven't installed them yet. I was wondering if I was to lower them to the stock position if I would gain any lift over the stock torsion bars? I appriciate all the info that you can give me before installing.

 

If they are in stock postition no lift is given but they have a higher spring rate to make you not bottom out so much, i just bought some and i am waiting arrival, im gonna crank them a little to get some more clearance outta my 32s

 

I was thinking about cranking them up around 1/2-1" but I don't know if that would be to much. I want to purchase some 1.5-2" rear lift springs for my truck to go along with them.

Do you think that would be to much to crank them? I'm purchasing some lowprofile bumpstops to help with the cranking of the T-Bars also.

 

Lo Profiule bumpstops would be a waste with 25m torsion bars. They will help you eat up whoops, but will ultimately cause a harsher ride and severly limit flex.

I had 25mm bars on stock arms and long travel arms. Even with the extra leverag of teh long travel arms I was ubale to fully compress them, unless my truck was airborne. I am not a big fan of lift, so I think it is safe to say that mine were in the stoick position, or maybe 1/2" cranked.

That's my take on the SAW 25mm bars. Downey makes a 26mm, which is more spring rate, Old Man Emu makes a 23.4mm ,and stock is 22.8 IIRC.

 

Im gonna crank mine to equal chevy rears. with the front a tad lower for the rake look.

 

I'm not planning on much lift at all. I'm just upgrading my suspension to help better offroad. I don't like the 4" suspension lifts or body lifts much at all. I would rather armor up and add a locker and have some fun.
