im putting my old speedometer back in my truck once i get my new speedometer cable because im sick of it being 100,000 miles off and having to explain to everyone. im just going to put in a aftermarket tach, water temp, oil pressure, battery. now my question is, where are some good locations on the dash to do that? im not putting anything where the inclinometer goes, because im planning to get one to cover the crack. () any ideas?

 

There is a detailed thread on here about resetting the odometer on an SR5 gauge cluster swap. My understanding is 100K is easy to change.

yeah... i dont feel 100% comfortable with taking it apart.... too much little things to break

 

you can just swap out the speedos buddy and keep the sr5 set-up

 

My tach is in between the A pillar and the cluster. 3 3/8" Tach fits perfectly there (In sight but not in line of sight). I was looking at doing a 3 gauge A Pillar unit for Oil PSI, a real temp gauge, and Voltmeter. Under the radio or under the shelf under the radio would most likely work too (kinda like the 69 Camero 4 gauge cluster)

 

what u mean swap out the speedos? u mean the odo? ill prob end up tryin to follow ur guide to mileage corrections and if i break it say o well and buy a new speedo lol

 

i changed mine to the proper mileage when i swap my cluster over and it was pretty easy. just took a little time and some finesse with a small flathead screwdriver

 

all you have to do is unscrew it and screw the new speedo in but as far as the rules go on here now as ive been "talked" to i can not tell you or show you how to do this on here best bet is to call me and ill look at pictures or do it on my clust and talk you though it buddy

 

put the old big speedo on the new small one? how does that make sense... when im ready ill give you a call...

 

oh crap yeah i forgot theres way differnt in sizes man ok that sucks lol sorry i forgot about that buddy or you can call and i can walk you though the miles thingy but i can tell you how to do it though
