Red face PTO Install??

I was wondering if anyone has ever installed a PTO on The Top shift transfer case.

Is it possible at all?

This would be on a 86/87 pickup 5 speed 4x4

Thanks for any input.

I've never heard of that but I think that's a sweet idea.

You could convert the front driveshaft output flange to one... bolt on a clutch type thing.

^goodbye 4 wheel drive! buy a Land Cruiser- they had a OEM PTO option.

IMO it would be a HUGE amount of work and custom fabrication (ie: build a new transfer case from scratch) to built a PTO box for 4Runner/ Hilux/ truck

I agree .. there are just no provisions for a PTO .. MAJOR mods including a new cast housing and a PTO shaft would be needed ..
