project monster ifs

OK im new here and i just bought my woods truck about 2 weeks ago i got it for 700 bucks and it was well worth it in my opinion because of all the parts on it. its an 86 reg cab truck and you can see all of the upgrades on my myspace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=76229132 the only big problem with the truck is the frame rot http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=5/13818501842.jpg&s=f5 but shes already in my garage getting fixed and i might have to back half the frame. i paln on fix the frame, new paint job, diff gears, rear locker, rear shocks, snorkel and more to come ill keep you up with all the work that iv done and tell you how it comes out.

If I was doing new graphics I think I'd get custom ones made, just to be different.
I didn't bother with the last 3 I restored and painted.
Just my 2 cents
Have fun. I enjoy restoring these Toyota's. As i said have done 3 and getting ready to start anotherone soon.
Good luck

Can't wait to see it with the bed back on and what this 2" BL for cab 3" for bed looks like. I'm thinking pretty bad, but you never know...

my problem is that in NH we are allowed 30" ground to the frame whear the stock rear bunper mounts. the truck now is at 35" so for the street if i drive it around town once in a whyle i throw my 31" dunlop mud rovers on it will still be at 32". what should i do?????

and how are bilstine 5150s and do i really need a shock that nice of can i get by with something cheeper for the rear?

I somehow missed this post before. If you are in NH, you should check out TTORA-NE (www.ttora-ne.net) and hop on the forum at www.ne4roc.org/forum. We wheel all over New England, you should definitely come along.

Personally, I don't like the 3" body lift in the bed idea, I say cut it down to 2" to match the rest of the body, and trim your rear fenders to fit the tires. Also, I would skip wasting money on decals, sand and rattle-can the whole truck one color, then forget about it. Save your money to replace your CV's.
Question, if you can weld and are comfortable with fabrication, why not SAS the truck rather than try to run 37's on IFS?
Also, if NH measures by the bumper then the easy answer is, lower the bumper. You can also make a hitch mounted bumper that will sit low, then you can remove it when you hit the trail.

Get and carry with you an elastic tape measure. Just kiddin'. What would a fine be for having your bumper be to high?

Well, that only is true if they measure by the bumper like you mentioned. I think MA measures by the bottom of the door or something like that since that is harder to fake.

Looking good man!!! Keep it up!!!! I love the radiant red, but I'd be weary of gettint that one to striped up, or muddied yet...look at that paint. My 04 is radiant red, but its not shiny like that. Nice work, keep it up.
