Big fan of the autometer set up, and it'd be easy to install two guages vs the 15 you've got in your set up Just remember, knowledge is power!

There are a number of companies that make a kit for that application. Just google "heads up display"...here's an example:

If you don't want to do something like that I wouldn't include a speedo in your dash. In my opinion they are a waste of space with how cheap you can get a GPS these days. You can put a GPS anywhere you want and they will display speed. Eric

The Racepak's come in a few different levels so the price varies accordingly. I believe the non data logging dash can be had for as little as $300 but you have to purchase whatever sending units you would like to hook up separately. These are fairly new but I believe they would be a lot less headache than mounting a bunch of traditional gauges and cost about the same as traditional gauges if you don't buy super cheap gauges. Racepak's are becoming popular in racing because of their size and data logging ability. I could be wrong on the price but I just did a quick look on Summit's site. Eric

Why not just do the Sr5 swap? I know you said you're going for something more unique but the sr5 cluster has the important gauges, tach, speed, oil pressure, amp, temp and fuel. Do you really need know vaccum?

I like my setup a lot.

just a suggestion.

The design I posted was actually a redesign of an original cluster that I made for my old car. And yes, it was based slightly on the Knight Rider design. The one I made was plug and play, but the speedo was not mechanical (not that that really matters). Here are a few pictures of the real deal, along with videos of when it starts up. The center of the dash had all the indicator lights, along with a "vox" that I never finished. It was going to work off of the voice of the GPS:

i like the idea with fewer guages on the dash and a pillar with 2 or 3 guages on it. but its your truck and your gonna be the one drivin it so if you like your original design.. go for it! i like the way it looks to. just my 2cents.

this looks AWESOME V V V V

If someone has a spare cluster lying around that they'd like to donate, I might just see about making one for the yotas.

Now that is cool. Not sure if I'd go that extreme. Or maybe I would. Go ahead, call me a geek.

Cyberman, I've got a spare cluster, but it came out of my first yota. Kind of a trophy, it reads 316k on the odometer. how much would it cost to convert it to digital like you stated?
