If I read right, then your problem is happening, when in higher gear, going faster, and therefore sucking in air faster. Sounds like it is running lean a bit, to me.

Mudd that was the simplest explanation for an AFM adjust i ever heard, god one. I've seen some explanations the size of War and Peace, simple is good. Thanks
