hey swimmer check out turbometal.com they have black, clear, and yellow open beam headlights. the open beams are the type that let you put hids and other types of bulbs in. i got a set of black diamond cut (which i wouldn't recomend the black) for 40 buck and i threw a set of 6000k hids in them. im bout to buy a set of the clear ones though so i can actually see again. lol

awesome thread!
here's mine after a wash post camping trip

and another

90% of the time I don't run the shell, I'm hoping to get a can-back at some point...
Had it since new in high school and now has a new lease on life!
Finished my 3.4 swap and only need to find a pulley to run my R12 AC and reroute the cruise and the swap will be fully complete!
Need a new tranny since the 3rd gear synchro is almost done, it'll also give me a chance to find the oil leak from the rear of the new motor..grrr!
Pro-comp bracket lift with bilsteins and a 1.5 in body lift(only to clear the 3.4 since I didnt want to cut)
Too many other plans to list...

ya you really cant see nothing at all with th black ones. i only could see bout 5 feet in front of me and that was cause of my hids. the only light was coming from the bulb itself. none was being reflected off the headlight housing

yeah they look pretty good, you just cant see anything but those blue lens i had 6k ''white''hids in them and they ended up like a slight blueish
but they looked really good.
the main reason i got rid of them is cuz when it
snowed it lit up EVERY single snow flake and we get a fair amount of it so yeah lol

where in Maine are you? I am up (maybe for you down) in Old Town. My truck is currently in Portland, 1991, SAS, ready to rock with a flatbed. Having some trouble getting it to start (bought it not running, put a new engine in it), any chance you have a hook up on a working ECU? Sold this about a year ago http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/2085978582.html

You hit a moose and that's all the damage you got?
Your moose down there must be the size of large deer.
Uusually when you hit a moose, you take out it's legs and it rolls and crushes the cab and kills the driver.
You're pretty lucky.
